Arise, O compatriots
A Nigerian call, obey
to save our fatherland
From hate, disgrace and failure
The labour of our heroes past
shall never be forgotten,
to save her from the cabals and fraudsters
one nation to be bound in freedom
Peace and united .
O God of creation,
Redirect our noble cause
Teach our leaders to be right
Help our youth our values to know
In love and truthfulness to grow
And living right and true
Great and worthy heights attain
To build a nation where peace
And justice reign
May Nigerian National Pledge
I pledge to Nigeria my own country.
Not to be hateful, disloyal and dishonest.
To save Nigeria with all my strength
To defend our unity and rebuild our honour and future
